Architectural lighting — Nonoti residence, KZN North Coast

DG Technologies

For builders
& architects

Specify once. Coordinate through the build. Hand over without surprises.

Technology that fits the building — not the other way around

The biggest cost in AV and automation is late specification. When conduit routes, electrical schedules and joinery are already finalised, every change becomes a negotiation. We work differently — joining the project team at design stage so the infrastructure is built in, not bolted on.

We coordinate directly with your electrical contractor, supply cable routing drawings, and install in structured phases that align with your programme. Clients get a system that works from day one, and you get a subcontractor who doesn't create rework for other trades.

What makes the difference on a complex build

We've worked alongside architects, interior designers and project managers on residential estates, hotels and villas. Here's what they come back for.

One team, all disciplines

Audio, lighting control, networking, CCTV, automation and home cinema — all coordinated through a single point of contact. No finger-pointing between separate contractors.

Early-stage input, no cost

We provide specification input and infrastructure requirements at design stage — because good AV and automation begins with conduit and cable tray, not with the fit-out.

Crestron certified

Platform-level technical depth on the market-leading control system. Your client gets a recognised, warranty-backed solution — not a consumer workaround.

KZN to Mozambique

Durban-based with completed projects from the South Coast to Vilanculos. Familiar with the logistics and compliance requirements of cross-border builds.

Programme-aware

We understand building programmes and work in first-fix, second-fix and commissioning phases. No disruptive surprises on your site.

Showroom for client sign-off

Clients can experience lighting scenes, audio zones and control interfaces in our Durban showroom before spec is finalised — removing indecision late in the project.

From spec to handover

A clear, programme-aware process that fits alongside your existing project delivery model.

01

Early specification

We meet before joinery and finishes are locked in — the stage where infrastructure decisions cost nothing to make and a fortune to change.

02

Coordinated drawings

We produce cable routing layouts, conduit schedules and equipment locations in a format your team can use on site and pass to the electrical contractor.

03

Structured installation

Our team installs in phases alongside your programme — first fix, second fix, commissioning — without creating delays or rework for other trades.

04

Handover & support

We hand over with user training for the client, full documentation for the building record, and ongoing support once keys are handed over.

Selected projects

Residential estates, boutique hotels and private villas — each delivered through the same structured process.
